Walk through a child’s day and see what makes our affordable care feel truly premium.

From the moment your child arrives at Wise Owl, they’re welcomed into a space designed to nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity—all without the premium price tag. Our goal is simple: to deliver exceptional care and early education at a cost that supports families, not strains them.

Let’s take a peek at what a typical day looks like for one of our full-time students:

8:30 AM – A Warm Welcome & Independent Start

As children arrive, they’re greeted by name with a smile. The environment is calm and inviting. They hang up their coats and settle in with quiet free play activities—puzzle work, bead stringing, shape sorting and pretend play—all chosen freely from the classroom environment.

This independence builds confidence, and it’s the kind of calm, purposeful start you won’t find in every daycare.

9:15 AM – Montessori Work Period

This is the heart of the day. Children engage in hands-on, age-appropriate learning:
🔹 Language (letter sounds, sandpaper letters, early phonics)
🔹 Math (counting rods, bead chains, number matching)
🔹 Practical life (pouring, spooning, buttoning, tying)

🔹 Sensorial, geographical and botanical activities

Teachers gently guide while children explore at their own pace, building focus, coordination, and critical thinking skills—all foundational for lifelong learning.

And yes, it’s all included in your monthly tuition—no extra fees for “enrichment.”

10:30 AM – Snack & Circle Time, Music, French, or Dance

We pause for a healthy snack provided by family and then circle time

Each day brings something different:
🎵 Music classes filled with rhythm, instruments, and song
💃 Dance and movement to help with balance and self-expression
🇫🇷 French language games to spark curiosity and early bilingual skills

These programs are built in—not optional add-ons with hidden costs.

11:00 AM – Outdoor Play

After circle time we head outside for fresh air and movement. Whether it’s running, gardening, building, or imaginative play, outdoor time is purposeful.

Nature is the best classroom, and we treat it that way.

12:00 PM – Lunch & Rest Time

Children enjoy lunch in a peaceful setting, with gentle conversation and encouragement of good habits. Afterward, we wind down with stories and quiet time. Rest is respected, and nap spaces are allocated, ready for those who may need them.

1:30 PM – Creative Exploration & Montessori Activities

Afternoons are perfect for art, storytelling, and sensory projects. Children paint, sculpt, build, and share their ideas. It’s joyful, messy, and meaningful.

We encourage creativity as a vital skill—not just a hobby—and you’ll see your child develop the ability to express ideas and solve problems through play.

There is also time allocated on a per need basis for individual (s) or small group-led Montessori activities with teacher, focussed on academic curriculum. Priority is for those that are graduating and moving on to kindergarten.

3:00 PM – Snack, Second Outdoor Block & Pick-Up

We end the day with more outdoor play before parents arrive. Teachers provide brief updates, and children leave with a sense of accomplishment and calm.
